How do I get started?

Regardless of if you are novice or a professional, there is no denying that motorcycle sport is both exciting and fun. It is up to you to decide if you want to just ride casually or compete at a club or state level. We can help you get started.

FAMILY - $100.00 + $25 per rider (Practice Track Fees)
SINGLE - $80.00 (+18 yrs) Inc Practice Track Fees
SOCIAL- $25 (+18 yrs) NON-RIDER
 
Payment can be made at any Sign On / Race day or direct credited to
Kununurra Motocross Club BSB: 066-530 Account Number: 10189378 with your name as the reference.

Online membership applications and payments can also be completed through Ridernet

Once you become a member, you can than apply for a licence through Motorcycling Western Australia (MWA)



Racing

What type of licence should I apply for?

A National Competition licence entitle holders to compete in all permitted National/Open, (including Australian and State Championships), Club and Interclub events, as well as being issued with a racing number (except Enduro, Trials, and Passengers).

A Restricted licenses entitle holders to compete in Moto Trials, Fast 50’s Mini Moto, & Pocket Bikes.

A Mini license is for Juniors aged riders (4-16) and entitle the holder to participate in recreational events, Minikhana, & Moto Trials. Including 50cc Demo class event for 4-U7 years

A Recreational license is recreational only and entitle the holder to ride non competitive events including practice ride days and trail rides.

Applying for a license is simple - just logon to www.motorcyclingwa.org.au  and click the header titled Riders and follow the appropriate Licence link.

Riders can even apply for a licence while waiting to sign on the day of competition just by using their phone!

Seniors
New applicants applying for a Senior National or Restricted National licence need to complete an online theory test  based on the  information in the : Getting Started in the Motorcycle Sport  booklet.       
If you do not currently hold a road bike licence (R class) you are required to have a First Time Testing document completed by one of Motorcycling WA testing officers.
the  First Time Testing Document  can be found in the Getting Started in Motorcycle Sport booklet (pages 18 to 19). 

You can apply for your Senior National Licence once you have all the relevant documentation. Refer to the Motorcycling WA web site www.motorcyclingwa.org.au for links.

Juniors (between 7 and under 16)
All  children whether upgrading from a Mini Licence to a Junior National Licence or applying for a first time Junior National Licence MUST complete the competency assessment of the Kick Start book, and complete assessment 2 a short theory test based on the information
